You may have heard of weight loss processes like this before.
You may have also tried them out and perhaps realised they were not as good for you as you first thought.
I’m sure you’ll agree that attempting to lose weight is quite stressful.
Being overweight and having people talk about you is emotionally stressful.
That’s why individuals, who are overweight, are always seeking for that magic, simple, weight loss method that could change their lives.
Is this you?
There are so many ‘simple’ or ‘easy’ diets and weight loss methods out there, but are they really all they’re cracked up to be?
I’m not saying they are bad, because I don’t know what the long term negative effects could be.
It’s just that they are not that effective in the long run.
Take diet pills for example.
There’s quite a range available at the moment. You take a pill, it makes your stomach feel full so you don’t eat and hence you lose weight.
A result, right?
Let me explain.
Imagine you’ve taken these pills for a period of several months.
Probably costing you a few hundred pounds in the process.
And by taking these pills, you have now reached your ideal weight.
So what do you do? You stop taking the pills of course.
And what happens?
Your weight slowly goes back up, doesn’t it?
And if you don’t begin a new diet or begin taking more weight loss pills, your weight is going to continue raising.
Often making you a little heavier than you were before.
It’s a vicious circle, is it not?
Where’s the benefit?
Well initially, over several months, you did lose weight.
But if the weight comes back on after you stop taking the pills, which most often it does, not only will you be back at square one, but you’ve also lost the hundreds of pounds that you invested in your diet pills.
And have you considered this… if you take these diets pills over a long period, what will the effects be on your overall health?
Please note, I’m not telling you not to take these diet pills.
I’m sure there are probably thousands of people who take these pills on a daily bases.
So whether you want to take these pills or already do, the choice to continue or not is always yours.
This article is just to give you some perspectives and considerations to think about, and hopefully allow you to make smarter choices.
