Strange isn’t it that practically everyone believes this myth that fatty foods can make you fat and unhealthy.
Even more bizarre is that this fear has been around since the 1950’s.
For decades now, medical professionals have been advising us that fatty foods are the main cause of obesity and any of its related diseases.
The result of this? An entire low-fat industry has been created.
In this arena, billions of pounds are spent every year to help counter the dangers of fat.
But this now raises another question.
If we spend billions every year to help reduce our fat intake, why are we in the middle of an obesity epidemic?
And why is it getting worse?
Did you know that the conclusion from a fairly recent study proved that this war on fat was based on a massive assumption.
A total of 350,000 participants from 21 independent US studies revealed no correlation between saturated fat acids – those present in butter, cheese, sausages and red meat – and heart attacks or atherosclerosis.
The leader of the study, Ronald Krauss says, “We could find no strong evidence that the risk if illness rises as a result of fatty acids.”
Only extremely overweight people increase their cancer risk with a high-fat diet.
