Did you know that the people you spend most of your time with can have a positive or negative effect on your life.
Their attitudes, their behaviours, their beliefs, can all rub off onto you because you’re spending so much time in and around them.
Now your interaction can be positive if you’re surrounded by a positive environment, and that’s great.
However, if it’s a negative environment, you ideally want to spend as little time as possible there because, what’s going to happen is, their negative energy will affect your energy.
Let me give you an example.
Have you ever been talking to someone, and noticed their conversation is more on the negative side?
Now if this conversation is about someone you know, after a while, you’ll find yourself joining in, until you suddenly realise what you’re doing.
This is because in that short period, their negative energy rubbed off onto you.
And you automatically started matching their energy.
You have to be very careful about how you allow other people’s behaviours, attitudes, beliefs, or anything else to negatively affect you.
This is because the more time you spend around these people, the more it affects you and your life in general.
You may not notice these changes going on.
But other people may see the changes in you and think, ‘Why has that person suddenly become like this? They used to be so positive.’
If you notice yourself in that situation, don’t just accept it.
Try to discover what, or who caused you to become like that.
Then try to stay away from those kinds of people.
They are often called toxic people due to their attitudes, behaviours, and beliefs.
Although their attributes are negative, they can be contagious.
If you don’t want to acquire that kind of character, it’s best to keep your distance from people like these.
The ideal thing for you to do is to have your positive attitude that is so strong, that it rubs off on them.
That would be a more beneficial situation for you, wouldn’t it?
Remember, your association with others matters more than you think.
Be careful who you associate with.
