Do you have a definite aim in life?
I’m not talking about general goals, like a specific car, a certain amount of cash, or a holiday.
I’m talking about an ultimate aim in life that you’re working towards.
My son wants to purchase a yacht.
If you don’t know much about yachts, they cost quite a lot.
We’re talking in the millions.
Yet that is his ultimate and definite aim in life.
Or ‘Chief aim’ as Napoleon Hill calls it.
And that’s what he is working towards.
He’s only 14 by the way, but that’s his chief aim.
So what’s your definite aim in life?
What is it that you want to ultimately achieve?
If you don’t know what your definite aim is, may I suggest that you find something that you ultimately want to be, do, or have.
Whether it’s just for you, your family, or to help others.
Consider what it is that you would ultimately like to be, do, or have?
However, just knowing what you want isn’t enough.
You need to have a reason, you need to know why you want that thing.
I’ve mentioned this in one of my other posts that there’s no point aiming for something if you don’t know why you’re doing it, or why you want it.
So as well as a definite aim, the reason is important.
You could carry on with things as they are and continue following the same daily routines.
If you do, you will continue to experience the same results in life.
If you don’t currently have a chief aim, think about it and get one.
What is it that you would ultimately like to be, do, or have?
If there’s nothing that comes to mind, then try this.
What do you want to be remembered for?
Sit down, think, and write down on paper what you would like to be remembered for.
Then use that as your idea, or maybe that’s the specific thing you would like to make as your chief aim.
What you’ll discover is that as you go on this journey of achievement, you’ll not only improve your circumstances, but with your improved circumstances, you’ll be able to help others also improve their lives in the same way.
This will make you feel good.
And a good feeling is ultimately what we all want, isn’t it?
So rather than stay in the same place with your same daily routines, why not have and work towards a chief aim in life.
